Chief Jesse Barton is responsible for the Valle Ambulance District as a whole, including leadership, management, administration, operations, and clinical ability. Chief Barton also has direct oversight of the day-to-day operations of Valle Ambulance District. Chief Barton is a life-long resident of De Soto, where he currently resides. Chief Barton has held virtually every position in his time at Valle Ambulance District. Chief Barton started as an EMT, progressed to Paramedic, Relief Captain, Captain, Assistant Chief and ultimately assumed the role as Chief of Emergency Medical Services for Valle Ambulance District in October 2010. Chief Barton is also a proud volunteer firefighter serving his community since 1996.
Chief Barton holds a current license as a Paramedic and is a Certified Ambulance Service Manager (ASM-C). Chief Barton holds numerous other certifications in various areas of Emergency Services. Chief Barton still enjoys functioning as a field provider and assuming various command functions.
